Be Prepared for an Amazing Summer

CISS International wants to ensure you have a smooth and enjoyable experience from start to finish. This page provides essential information on what to pack and what documentation you’ll need for your summer school adventure.

Before You Travel

• Download the Student Information Booklet: This booklet provides a detailed packing list tailored to your specific academic stream and activities.
• Pack Light for City-Hopping: CISS International will be traveling between cities, so limit yourself to one suitcase and one piece of hand luggage.
• Check Regulations: Refer to the GOV.UK (UK) or TSA.GOV (US) websites for any restrictions on items you can bring.

General Packing List

• Comfortable Clothing: Pack clothes suitable for various activities, including:
  • Weatherproof jacket
  • Warm clothing (jumpers)
  • Light clothing (t-shirts, jeans/trousers)
  • Comfortable socks, underwear, and sleepwear
• Footwear: Pack trainers or walking shoes for tours and athletic wear for sports.
• Sun Protection: Don’t forget sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat/baseball cap.
• Essentials: Pack toiletries, a toothbrush, a bath towel, a mobile phone, a laptop/iPad (for classes), chargers and an adaptor, a camera, and a notebook with stationary for classes.
• Entertainment: Feel free to bring your musical instrument, a small backpack for city exploration, and a pre-paid international bank card for spending money (avoid carrying large amounts of cash).
• Medical Needs: If you require prescription medication, please inform CISS International via the Medical and Dietary Form. You might need a doctor’s note.

What to Bring in Your Hand Luggage

• Important Documents: Keep essential documents readily accessible in your hand luggage for border control. These documents include:
  • Passport (valid for overseas travel)
  • Visa Letter (if required)
  • Boarding Pass
  • Parental Consent to Travel Form (if under 18 and traveling alone)
  • Consent Form for Travel with Another Adult (if traveling with someone other than your parents)
  • Letter of Acceptance from CISS International
  • Medical and Travel Insurance Documents (printed copies)
  • International Bank Card
  • Medication (with a doctor’s note if required)

Travel Between Campuses and Arrival/Departure

CISS International will arrange travel between cities and provide airport transfers. Refer to the specific information provided by CISS International for detailed arrangements.
