Chester Travel and Visa Changes Every Student Must Know
As you prepare for the September 2025 intake, there’s one critical update about Chester travel and visa changes you must not miss.
Starting 15 July 2025, the UK Home Office (UKVI) has officially discontinued physical visa vignettes. This means your passport will no longer carry a UK student visa. Instead, you’re now required to set up a UKVI account and access your eVisa online — before leaving for the UK.

What This Means for You
If you’ve received your visa decision, you must now:
- Create your UKVI account
- Download your eVisa
- Keep both digital and printed copies for travel
Failing to complete this could lead to being denied boarding or delays in university enrolment.
If you need help, reach out to your Edge Concept advisor, or visit the University of Chester’s visa page.
📅 September 2025 Intake Deadlines
Some deadlines may have passed, but it’s not too late for everyone. Stay on track with:
- CAS submission
- Deposit payments
- Offer acceptance
If you’re unsure where you stand, please reach out — we can help.
🧾 CAS Shield: What You Need to Know
Getting your offer letter means you have a spot, but you won’t receive your CAS unless you:
- Pay your deposit
- Upload all required documents to CAS Shield
- Complete your profile
CAS processing can take 10–14 working days, so act early and don’t assume it’ll be instant.
UKVI Contact Info Must Be Yours
Please use your own personal email and phone number on all applications. This is a UKVI requirement, and it ensures that you receive every important update directly.
